Welcome to Work/Life Oregon |
Work/Life is the practice of providing: - initiatives designed to create a more flexible, supportive work environment, enabling employees to focus on work tasks while at work
- more supportive programs that meet life event needs, ensuring that policies give employees as much control as possible over their lives
- flexible work practices as a strategy to meet the dual agenda—the needs of both business and employees
WorkLife Oregon can provide solutions by assisting you in developing child care options, flexibility programs and elder care resources. Our 13 Child Care Resource and Referral Program located throughout the state of Oregon will work with you to customize solutions that meet the needs of your business, your employees and take advantage of local resources. These solutions have three benefits. First, they reduce absenteeism. Secondly, they enhance an employer's ability to recruit talented workers. Finally, they assist employers in retaining talented workers. |  | Once you consider the financial implications of paying for your worker's time off, lost opportunities that occur when you key worker’s are absent, the cost of hiring temporary personnel, and difficulty in recruiting and retaining highly skilled workers, you'll understand why WorkLife Oregon is a program that benefits you and your employees. Work/life practices include support for: • Child Care, Parenting and Child Development • Elder Care • Wellness • Legal Issues • Emotional Wellbeing • Leave Issues • Relocation • Time Allocation For more information about the practices, click here. WorkLife Oregon is a unique partnership of the Oregon Child Care Resource and Referral Network, Oregon Child Care Division and The WorkSource Oregon Employment Department. We offer a single point-of-access to a range of work/life options.
